What is in a language? Is it simply words to communicate, to exchange information? Or is it something more – stories carried across generations, identities shaped by land and memory, and ways of seeing the world that cannot be easily translated?
A language does not just name where an explorer travelled; it remembers where a people have always been.
This module explores the incredible diversity of Indigenous languages in British Columbia, the history of the languages in our member Nations and the importance of language revitalization.
